Yogi and Surfer #DreamLife

I want to be a yogi, well not in the truest sense but I want to be able to do sun salutations with ease, perfect my downward dog and do a headstand.

The benefits of yoga are amazing. So I’ve decided that I want get into some good habits. Two years ago, I was doing my yoga practice 3-4 times a week.  And it was probably the best thing I could’ve done for my mind, body and soul.  Then motherhood came along and I put myself last on the list.  So in an effort to get back into my practice, I’ve started doing sun salutations (at least 4 rounds) 2-3 times a week.  The best thing about doing sun salutations I can do it anywhere any time.  All I need is a little open space and a mat (or a towel).

The last winter storm

Ahh famous last words for us Canadians, who technically don’t put their winter coats away until some time in May.
We had a winter storm which was kind of like a scene from Day After Tomorrow, you know where everything freezes in a mater of minutes.  As scary as that scene was in the movie, it makes for beautiful pictures.

Vastness [Dec 31st 2015]


I cannot believe we are entering 2016…#JawDrop. It’s true what they say about life after kids, the days are long but the years fly by.  That said, the mister and I have been in the throws of dealing with Miss S in what seems like the terrible twos (even though she’s only 1).  She answers “no” or “nope” A LOT, started saying “mine” and even fake cries!   It’s hard but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love it.

Aside from that, took some time out to write my New Years Resolutions!   I am try to keep them down to 3 or 4 thoughts and this coming year they are around fostering good relationships and changing my ideas about my food intake and decluttering and living more simply.
