Laughin at fools like me

The Hubz recently gave me this beautiful necklace from Dogeared Jewels as my Karva Chauth GIft.  I’ve been completely inseparable from it and more particularly its meaning.

We recently watched a documentary at the Tiff LIght Box theatre.  Chasing Ice is a photo journalists’ journey to explain the effects that global warming is having on ice.  James Balog initially takes two pictures, of the same glacier, at 6 month intervals.  What he notices is the glacier makes dramatic retreats.  He continues to photograph ice and even sets up cameras in some extreme locations to capture the vivid imagery.

Like the rest of the science world, I’m still undecided about what the actual cause ice changes are (natural occurence or pollution).   But, as the movie states the “canary in the global coal mine” is telling us something.  Either way, the movie forces us to consider the consequences of our actions (non actions) on the world around us.

Strange Clouds and a new pair of Jeans

Excited to be shooting in Manual as of late – and actually capturing some amazing shots.

The pictures above are straight from my SD card and have not been editied…the Wonders of changing your ISO and appeture!

I’ve been looking for a pair of floral pants since before the summer started but kind of gave up because Zara’s denim looked like hareem pants on me :(

But after capturing these clouds I knew I had to have them.  The fashion gods prevailed when I found these during one of my lunch hour shopping sessions (best time of my corporate day).

The weather looked amazing from the window but it was very chilly…I’m surprised the Hubz was even able to capture these.  This weekend was one of those weekends where we really enjoyed life.  Eating great food, Hanging out with friends, Partying till 3am, Working out, Spending time with the Familia, Shopping, Dancing, Sleeping in till 11am.  This work week is going to be cray…can’t wait till next weekend.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year…Can’t believe how quickly the holiday’s went by!  Lately I’ve been lounging in leggings, legwarmers, oversized hoodies, drinking copious amounts of starbucks (I thought I’d try to give up coffee for a January clense…but who am I kidding) and lurking tumblr for fashion, food, fitness…

I signed up for the hardest 5k race in Toronto (well at least its the hardest in my opinion).  The race is before our unofficial wedding season … so I won’t be limping to any post race wedding receptions (thankfully).

Here are some pictures I managed to capture over the holidays…!p

The blues were made for walking

What I’m wearing: Jeans: Target | Tank top: Target | Cardigan: Tommy Hilfiger | Boots: Unknown (Purchased in UK) | Scarf: Union Go Station

I wore this to our friends house warming brunch.  It’s funny how our gatherings with friends have changed.  No longer meeting at clubs or restaurants – we have our OWN homes.   Everyone is coupled off and now there are little ones running around.  Kind of surreal.  I don’t feel a day older than 17…(especially as I’m the only one there wearing a brightly coloured pair of skinny pants)

Monkey-ing around

What I wore: Leggings & Sweater: H&M | Boots: Uggs | Hat: Winners | Accessories: Various

I wore this outfit one afternoon while we relaxed around the city.  So casual and comfy…almost like pajamas!  I put the hat on for a chuckle (and because it was kind of chilly)
