Art Deco

What I’m wearing: Faux Leather Jacket: Zara | Leggings, Tank top and Fur Collar: H&M | Sweater: Primark (London) | Boots: Uggs (not pictured) | Watch: Michael Kors | Bracelet: Gift

I made the BEST chicken curry today!  It was so good I surprised myself!  (Which I rarely do with my cooking).

The Hubz and I are working on an Art Deco wall project for above our sofa in the living room.  It’s embarrassing but our walls have been bare for the entire time we’ve been in our place.  I’m glad I finally got some inspiration.   I wore this outift for our trip to Ikea to pick up some supplies.

Birthday girl

Taking the day off for my birthday was the best idea ever.  If you are a corporate slave like me – you’ll probably enjoy it to.  I’m always so inspired by people who can say “I quit my day job to pursue my dreams”.  I wish my dreams/personal legend would be more apparent to me so I could possibly doing the same.  Until then I’ll “work to live” – enjoy my time off as much as I can, maintain my work life balance and enjoy myself as much as I can at work.

The photodiary is a bit backwards here lol.  We started off with brunch at “Coras”, then went over to “The Ballroom” for some daytime bowling and cocktails, and ended the evening with Milk (spiked with Baileys) and cupcakes.  The martini glasses were a must!

Karva Chauth 2011 – What I Wore

The outfit I chose for my Karva Chauth fast was a Red Sari, Red Churiyan and my Kundan Set (gifted to me by my in laws).

I love wearing Indian clothes.  I feel beautiful and exotic EVERY time I’m in them – a feeling that doesn’t come that easily with ’western clothing’.  Indian clothes are timeless (I mean which other 5 yards of fabric could be worn for decades and decades with minimal changes!!), sexy and extravagant!  I think everyone should wear Indian clothes at least once in their lifetime.  To an Indian wedding or just because – definitely a must have fashionista experience.

Style in Central Park

Another set of photos from our weekend in NYC and the only photos I took of my outfits.  I always tend to freeze so I have a habit of carrying around a pashmina or extra jacket.  On the pleasantly warm Saturday afternoon, we walked around Central Park.  I took a ride on the carousel and then we laid on a blanket until the sun set.
