The cookies are baked and decorated. All the presents are wrapped and either out of reach from little hands or under the tree. All the lights are up. Hubby is cooking our Christmas Eve dinner (which for the last few christmas has consisted of a protein other than the typical chicken or turkey). And I’ve prepped some food items to take to my parents house for Christmas. Anndd Miss S and I are starting a new tradition: watching Home Alone #yaaassss
But before any of this happened I was thinking about a way to #GiveBack. I have been on the look out for this type of charity for a few years but thankfully I found it this year and Miss S was just the right age to understand what we were doing and why.
We collected several essential toiletries, clothes and toys to send in our Samaritan Box.
The items we packed were:
- Long sleeve tshirt
- 2 drinking cups
- Bar Soap
- Hair ties
- …and some other things which I can’t remember
We then dropped it off at a local drop off centre.
